My dear husband has been talking about this damn gun (a remington 700 sps tactical .308) since before we were married. Well yesterday we got to pick it up. When he first started talking about the gun I was not happy about it, for one it costs a pretty penny and two I wasn't about to sacrifice a vacation for a gun. But now that we got to take it out and shoot it, I can't lie I really like it. We had a blast shooting a target 100 yrds away. My 3 shot grouping was an inch and my dear husband's 3 shot grouping was under 1/2 inch.

The famous gun....
Big Bear Trip
Friday we decided to take a very impromptu trip to Big Bear. We waited too long and there were only pockets of snow higher up on the mountain. But we got to see some lovely flowers, play a game of bowling, and the beautiful houses dotting the mountain.

Spring Cleaning
Spring brings changes and this spring I made a pretty big change. I cut quite a bit of hair off! I couldn't be happier with my new shorter, more manageable hair.

Day 15: My Shoes
I can never seem to get a picture of my shoes without our dog Remington being under my feet. But here are my favorite shoes that I've pretty much worn to death.
Day 13: From a distance
We get a lovely view of the mountains in Joshua Tree National Park from our front yard. There is a lot of good hiking trails and lovely scenery in the park.
Day 12: Close Up
We have some beautiful cacti in our yard. In the next few days we will have some more color from this one. Spring can be beautiful in the desert, you just have to look at it.
Day 10: Something I made
While my husband was deployed I went on a crafting spree! It was an easy way to stay busy and at the same time decorate our house. This is a wreath I made out of my husband's old camis for our front door.
Day 9: Faceless Self-Portrait
Pictures are worth a thousand words but I want to make sure I clarify what I want to convey. I chose this pose because I am a proud American and I also made a vow to stand by my husband while he fights for our freedom.
Day 8: Technology
This was my only means of communicating with my husband while he was deployed last year. It is amazing how one piece of technology has changed the way we communicate with our loved ones. Thanks Apple!
Day 7: Something New
I finally got myself, well my husband got me, a sewing machine. So far it has only been used to fix holes in everyone's camis but soon enough I'm going to make myself a dress and some throw pillows.
Day 6: Childhood Memory
No wonder I have such a sweet tooth! I just loved making cakes and cookies in my room. I felt like such a grown up being able to cook in my very own oven.

Day 5: Someone I love
Today was kind of a no brainer! This is my best friend, the other half to my heart, and my husband. He keeps me sane while pushing me to the brink of insanity but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Day 4: Favorite Color
Who doesn't love the sight of a little blue box from Tiffany & Co? Well I kinda could care less what's inside the box. The color of that little blue box, that is what I really love. I love this color for almost anything whether it be clothes, paint, or household accessories.

Day 1: Self Portrait

I got a Canon Rebel T3 for my wedding anniversary last week so I thought what a better way to practice my new hobby than a 30 day photo challenge. Now the trick is going to be to remember to stick with it.
